Desire for snow and high altitude
A dial that worships freezing and rugged peaks of the world's highest mountains made in collaboration with one of the world's top climbers, Marek Holeček. A dial made of hand-brushed titanium which with its rawness, coldness, and unmistakable shine, reflects the age-old human desire to climb the highest peaks on Earth. The 20 pieces limited edition is named after the world's 9th highest mountain. He'll be wearing the watch on his future expeditions, which is why it needs to retain all features that made you love underwater.
A climber attracted to undaunted paths
He doesn't go to the mountains for glory, laurels, and trophies but to find the freedom he has longed for since childhood. Marek Holecek's climbing has been made visible by challenging alpine-style ascents without oxygen bombs, the help of sherpas, and often first ascents. He does not choose peaks according to their height but their difficulty and climbing attractiveness. Thanks to his will, indomitability, a dose of madness, and determination, he has already claimed the first ascent of the west face of Baruntse (7,162 m), the southwest wall of Gasherbrum I (8,080 m) or the northwest face of Chamlang (7,319 m). In fact, for the last two climbs, he also won the prestigious Piolet d'Or award in 2018 and 2020, known as the climbing Oscar.

When it comes to making quality mechanical watches, the Swiss are the ones you can count on. Therefore every Chronotechna watch is built by hand in Switzerland – all components are manually assembled by experienced watchmakers in La Chaux-de-Fonds, in the heart of the Swiss watchmaking industry. The assembly of a single mechanical watch takes a professional watchmaker an entire shift. But it doesn't end there. It is then time for numerous measurements, tests, and trials, taking up to two weeks. Only when a watch passes all these steps can it be delivered to the client.
